TECH TALK with Greystone Solutions

“Cloud Computing Trends 2014”

Presentation Summary: Just three years ago, there was wide skepticism of the cloud computing approach and little agreement on the definition of cloud computing. Today, adoption of the cloud is in full gallop, producing winners and losers among companies, technologies and job categories. Unpacking competing claims and approaches remains difficult as firms vie for position in this new generation of computing platform. In this talk we will attempt to define the conceptual “center” of cloud computing and share our views on who wins and who does not. We will specifically address the emerging professional area of “DevOps” and how it may affect the career trajectory of newly minted software engineers and computer scientists.
