CTE Conference

Mark your calendar for the 7th Annual CTE Conference on November 30-December 1st, 2023!

This year the CTE conference, hosted by the Boston University Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, will be a hybrid event with a limited amount of tickets for in-person attendance. If you are interested in attending in person, be sure to purchase your ticket soon as it is first come, first serve.

Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) is a progressive degenerative disease of the brain found in athletes (and others) with a history of repetitive brain trauma, including symptomatic concussions as well as asymptomatic non-concussive hits to the head. Brain degeneration is associated with memory loss, confusion, impaired judgment, impulse control problems, aggression, depression, and, eventually, progressive dementia.

During this two-day course, participants will learn about all aspects of CTE including its pathology, pathophysiology, genetics, biomarkers, imaging, clinical syndromes, clinical criteria, differential diagnosis, impact on veterans and implications for the family, and what it is like to live with or worry about the disease.

This Conference is leveled as Intermediate and Advanced.
