Background

Fulbright Scholar from the 2021 cohort. Graduated with honors with a BSc in Psychology and a MSc in Neuroscience from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. During her masters, she was awarded a traineeship in the neuropathology of Alzheimer’s disease at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf in Germany. After graduation, she was a research study coordinator in an intensive care unit (ICU) studying disruption of brain connectivity. There, she conducted neuropsychological evaluation and close monitoring of subjects with altered consciousness after traumatic brain injury. Before joining her PhD program at BU, she trained at the Physiology of Cognition Lab at the University of Liège in Belgium.

Research Interests

The role of Tau spread and repetitive head impacts in functional connectivity disruption of the brain connectome.
