Sophia Nosek

Bio

Sophia holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she graduated in May 2023. As an undergraduate student, she conducted research at the Movement Neuroscience Laboratory, focusing on the impact of contact sports on cortical neurophysiology and motor performance. Sophia also gained clinical experience working as a dialysis patient care technician and a pediatric medical scribe. Following graduation, she joined the BU CTE Center as a full-time Research Specialist and now serves as the Research Program Manager for the Understanding Neurological Injury and Traumatic Encephalopathy (UNITE) study. In addition to her role, Sophia is pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Research part-time at Boston University Graduate Medical Sciences. She is passionate about advancing neurodegenerative disease research, with a particular interest in project management and clinical operations.
