CTL Graduate Assistants Program

Since its inception in 2019, the Graduate Assistants Program has been an important part of CTL. Working with former associate director Jean Otsuki, graduate assistants selected for the program formed a close learning community each year where they were able to develop as educators and peer mentors through research-based practice and reflective interdisciplinary conversations about pedagogy. In 2021, the program expanded to retain experienced graduate associates as well as incorporate incoming graduate assistants, with an emphasis on teaching more inclusively through reflective interdisciplinary conversations and helping the CTL to share evidence-based strategies for engaging all students with fellow graduate student instructors. The program is currently being reviewed and is not active in Spring 2024.
