CLIC News Roundup – May 2022
Updates from the CLIC |
Register now for the upcoming two-day event, “Making Real-World Data and Real-World Evidence a Reality for Translational Science Virtual Workshop and Un-Meeting,” happening June 8-9, 2022 from 11 AM – 3 PM ET each day.
Moving scientific discoveries into the “real world” effectively, efficiently and safely are core principles of translational science. With the advent of big data analytics and data derived from multiple sources, it has become increasingly clear that utilizing data from real-world contexts opens another key layer of the translational science process.
This Rapid Response Un-Meeting hopes to address how you can leverage the CTSA Program Consortium to continue incorporating and innovating with real-world data and evidence to improve human health! More information about speakers and presentation topics will be coming soon.
In their efforts to recruit more than one million patients for a significant research study, Northwestern Memorial HealthCare and the Northwestern University Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute realized the need to standardize medication data in their joint venture, the Northwestern Medicine Enterprise Data Warehouse.
Learn more in the blog and don’t miss the accompanying webinar tomorrow, May 4th at 3 PM ET.
In November 2021, TL1 Trainees at Washington University in St. Louis and University of Michigan went head to head at the inaugural TL1 Debate. The TL1 Debate was developed in an effort to help trainees practice their presentation skills and make arguments for or against a concept in clinical and translational science while allowing for networking and collaboration within the CTSA Program Consortium.
The inaugural debate was a fun-filled, learning experience! Interested in being part of the next debate? Email TL1_Directors@clic-ctsa.org.
