The Albert & Jessie Danielsen Institute Statement on Diversity and Social Justice

The Danielsen Institute recognizes that we live in a world that is rife with collective and interpersonal trauma, injustice, and inequity.

We stand against social injustice in all of its forms, such as that rooted in racism, xenophobia, sexism, ageism, heterosexism, classism, transphobia, ableism, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, and prejudice against any religious, ethnic, or cultural group.

We condemn all violence and hate, in-person and online, and remain committed to healing human suffering and supporting human rights and dignity.

As is central to the Danielsen Institute mission, we affirm the sacredness of life and relationships.

We emphasize a relational approach in engaging individual and sociocultural differences in practice, research, training, and community-based education.

We are a community dedicated to listening closely to similarity and difference in background and perspective, with humility and dedication to ongoing growth.
