Congratulations, Dr. Kemp!

Dr. Spencer Kemp, instructor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology, learned October 13 that he passed the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Certification Exam on his first attempt. He took the test, which is offered once each year in Tampa, Florida, October 5-6 with a group of about 15 people.

"I put a lot of time into preparation," says Kemp. "It was a challenging exam but it seems the great mentoring I received and preparation paid off in the end."

Dr. Kemp was the first resident in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology. Four of the nine oral pathologists in New England are part of the department’s faculty.
