Journal of Periodontology Publishes Dr. Thomas Van Dyke

Professor and Director of the Periodontology Research Laboratories Dr. Thomas Van Dyke published three articles titled, "Inflammation and Periodontal Diseases: A Reappraisal,"; "Inflammation and Factors That May Regulate Inflammatory Response,"; and "The Management of Inflammation in Periodontal Disease," in the Journal of Periodontology August 08 Supplement .

These articles were presented at an American Academy of Periodontology 2008 Workshop on Inflammation held in Boston in January 2008. Following the presentation they were selected for inclusion in the supplement.

“Greater understanding of the complex pathways involved in inflammation may provide alternative therapeutic strategies to combat inflammation and chronic diseases potentially arising from it," said Dr. Van Dyke.
