Governor Patrick Appoints Dr. Gregory Stoute to BORID

Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM) Associate Professor and Director of Minority Affairs Dr. Gregory Stoute was recently appointed to the Board of Registration in Dentistry (BORID) by Governor Deval L. Patrick. Dr. Stoute will serve a five-year term ending on April 18, 2014.
BORID is a ten-person board comprised of six dentists, one hygienist, one assistant, and two public members. They are responsible for registering and licensing formally trained dentists and dental hygienists who have passed the appropriate licensing exams. BORID also monitors licensees’ practice of dentistry and compliance with continuing education requirements.
"Dr. Stoute’s involvement in organized dentistry at both the state and national level is an inspiration to the GSDM community," said Dean Jeffrey Hutter. "I know I speak for the entire School when I congratulate him on this prestigious appointment."
