Prosthodontic Residents Take First Step Toward Board Certification

The Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM) Postdoctoral Prosthodontic Department is proud to announce that the following seven residents have passed part I of the American Board of Prosthodontics Certification Exam: Benoy George PROSTH 09; Chi-Chen Hsu PROSTH 09; Dr. Carolina Frangie PROSTH 09; Faysal Succaria PROSTH 09; Aws ArRejaie PROSTH 09; Bader Al-Awadhi PROSTH 09; and Armen Hartoonian DMD 06, PROSTH 09. One of the seven residents, Dr. Hartoonian, also passed part IV.

The American Board of Prosthodontics uses a multi-part exam to certify those who are committed to life-long learning and a lifetime of ethical practices, who value the doctor/patient relationship, who respect those with philosophical, cultural or physical differences and who are committed to the advancement of prosthodontics.

"I am very proud of these residents for taking and passing part I of the certification exam," said Associate Professor and Director ad interim of the Postdoctoral Program in Prosthodontics Dr. John Bowley. "Traditionally not as many residents have opted to take the exam so this is an accomplishment for the residents and the department overall."
