Pediatric Dentistry Alums Gather in Hawaii

Dean Jeffrey Hutter, Mrs. Kathy Hutter, and Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM) Chair of Pediatric Dentistry Dr. Christopher Hughes hosted a reception for alumni, faculty, and residents attending the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Annual Meeting in Honolulu, Hawaii, May 21 to 24.
The reception was held at the Halekulani Hotel on Saturday, May 23 and was well-attended by the GSDM community and their families.
Dean Hutter spoke at the event, acknowledging Dr. Hughes and Director of the Postdoctoral Program in Pediatric Dentistry Dr. Wendy Cheney for their dedication to pediatric dentistry at GSDM and energizing the alumni to participate in the transformation of GSDM from good to great.
Dean Hutter also added, "It has been nine months since I was appointed Dean and I am still absolutely thrilled. I have been deeply gratified that so many of our alumni have demonstrated their support of my appointment with phone calls and emails of congratulations and well wishes. One of the most rewarding features of my job as Dean is the opportunity to speak with our alumni, and after speaking with many of you during the last nine months, I find it truly gratifying to have your support as we begin the important work ahead of us."
