In collaboration with the Asian Dental Student Organization (ADSO), members of Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM) and Oral Health Promotion Director Ms. Kathy Lituri volunteered at the Wang YMCA Holiday Party, held on December 14, 2014. Working alongside ADSO members Derek Leung DMD 15 and Guanghui Ling AS 16, the volunteers promoted oral health and served as positive role models for the children who attended this annual holiday celebration.

The Wang YMCA was decorated with balloons and a Christmas tree, and the young party goers enjoyed a bounce house, games, face painting, and other children’s activities. Stations run by GSDM students featured age-appropriate interactive oral health activities along with toothbrush and toothpaste giveaways. For the past seven years, GSDM has participated in this festive event which draws over 400 families from the community.

Other student volunteers included Amanda Brogley DMD 15, Angela Wu AS 16, Rizwan Baig AS 16, Garrett Wingrove DMD 17, and Brittany Dacier (Pre-Dental).
