Dr. Khiem Pham-Nguyen Promoted to Clinical Assistant Professor

Dr. Khiem Pham-Nguyen DMD 03, ORTHO 08 has been promoted from Clinical Instructor to Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics at the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM). He has been a full-time member of the faculty at GSDM since 2009.

Dr. Pham-Nguyen has completed all of his dental education at GSDM, receiving his DMD in 2003, CAGS in AEGD in 2004, and his CAGS and MSD in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics in 2008. From 2005 – 2006, Dr. Pham-Nguyen was a Geriatric Dentistry Fellow at the Boston University Medical Center (BMC), while also serving as a part-time clinical instructor in the Department of General Dentistry at GSDM. In 2008, he opened a private practice specializing in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics with offices in Weymouth and South Boston.

Dr. Pham-Nguyen has also been mentoring students long before he was on faculty at GSDM. During his Advanced Specialty Education Program in Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics, he mentored junior residents and impressed his future colleagues and faculty members in the Department of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics. He continues his mentorship as he supervises the residents in the Postdoctoral Orthodontic Patient treatment Center two days a week. This year, Dr. Pham-Nguyen will serve as a Clinical Externship Coordinator in addition to his teaching duties.
