2017 Annual Giving Day: April 5, 2017
Giving Day 2017 is almost here! April 5th is less than one week away, and we need your help to put GSDM at the top of all the schools at Boston University. Giving Day is a University Campaign focused on getting as many individuals in our community to support the school within a 24-hour period – April 5th, 2017. Any gift – large or small – can help us beat last year’s already impressive ranking.
Last year, a total of 324 members of the GSDM community donated $60,000 to the School, placing GSDM fourth out of the 16 schools and colleges of Boston University for number of donors during Giving Day 2016. GSDM topped its 2015 Giving Day totals for both number of donors and amount of money raised. During Giving Day 2015, on April 8, 2015, GSDM raised $50,602 with a total of 195 donors.
This year, Dr. David Lustbader CAS 86 DMD 86 and Chair of the GSDM Dean’s Advisory Board is generously donating bonus dollars to our total if you give. In other words, every gift makes an even bigger impact. We can make a huge difference in a short period of time—and celebrate the generosity of our BU community.
Show your School of Dental Medicine pride by posting on all your social networks using #BUGivingDay and bu.edu/givingday. Like last year, we are competing with other schools in challenges throughout the day. Get your Terrier clothes ready, as we want you to post photos of you, your children, and yes, your pets showing BU pride! You can also sign up to be a Giving Day Online Ambassador and you’ll automatically get the latest info to share with your networks. Tune into our social media pages in the days leading up to, and on the day of for photo challenges, hashtags to use, contests, and more. The more we engage as a community and show our pride in GSDM, the better the future will be for our students/residents, faculty/staff and patients.
