On June 1, 2016, Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine’s Department of Pediatric Dentistry welcomed Dr. Porsche Jumlongras to its team as a Clinical Assistant Professor, as well as the Director of the new Pediatric Oral Healthcare Center.

In her position as Clinical Assistant Professor, Dr. Jumlongras will be the course director for craniofacial growth and development for pediatric dental residents. Additionally, Dr. Jumlongras will oversee daily operations of the Pediatric Oral Healthcare Center as well as residents and pre-doc students working in the Center, and will also provide clinical care to patients.

Dr. Jumlongras has been instrumental in the creation of a new series of patient success story videos highlighting the amazing work of our pediatric dentistry department. She worked directly with these children with special cases, ensuring they received high-quality, compassionate care. “It is a great experience in terms of building a story to tell publicly as well as to professionals about our new clinic,” said Dr. Jumlongras. “The story from the point of view of the patient and her/his family, and looking at the emotional well-being of the patient is very important.”
