In the latest GSDM Rare Patient Seminar Series, Criss Quigley and Ann Quigley, a mother and daughter duo who both have the rare dental disease dentinogenesis imperfecta, spoke to GSDM students about their lives with the disease and the legislative change they are hoping to obtain. The seminar series was created by Clinical Associate Professor Dr. Yoshiyuki Mochida in order to humanize uncommon oral-related diseases, giving dental students a one-of-a-kind exposure to real patients. Research Spotlight: New Pediatric Disability Educational Program Starts this Academic Year
GSDM was awarded a $1.5 million, five-year grant to develop a program to give predoctoral dental students more experiences caring for pediatric patients with disabilities as well as develop a new complementary training program for general dentists working in community health centers. More
