Christine Chiao

Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatric Dentistry

Dr. Christine Chiao is a clinical assistant professor of Pediatric Dentistry at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where she joined as a full-time faculty member in 2022. She completed her Master of Public Health, Doctor of Dental Medicine, and Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and Dental Public Health from Boston University. She is certified in using nitrous oxide sedation to aid in dental anxiety, and has completed training in the provision of dental care under general anesthesia. As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Chiao believes in the importance of creating positive dental experiences in early childhood with an emphasis on prevention. Her research interests in include social-behavioral determinants of health, oral health epidemiology, and risk factors for dental caries in early childhood. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Public Health.
