Oscar Wars: Dishing on the history of Hollywood with The New Yorker’s Michael Schulman
- Starts: 6:30 pm on Wednesday, March 6, 2024
- Ends: 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 6, 2024
America does not have royalty. It has the Academy Awards.
In anticipation of the 96th Academy Awards airing Sunday, March 10, Here & Now co-host Robin Young sits down with New Yorker writer Michael Schulman, author of “Oscar Wars: A History of Hollywood in Gold, Sweat and Tears,” which chronicles the last century of scandals, behind-the-scenes drama and never-revealed secrets from what happened to “Moonlight” to the infamous slap.
Get ready to ask all your burning questions about Hollywood gossip and history, plus predict what’ll happen at this year’s ceremony. We’ll have Oscar ballots on hand for you to make it official and popcorn will be served.
Copies of “Oscars Wars” will be available for purchase from our bookstore partner Brookline Booksmith and Schulman will sign following the conversation.
