Rachel Balogh is a deaf professional who brings a unique perspective to her role as Assistant Coordinator for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services at the Office of Disability & Access Services. Rachel effectively bridges communication gaps and facilitates accessibility for students, staff, faculty, and guests who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Joining the team in January 2024, Rachel collaborates closely with the rest of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services team to ensure seamless communication access and the provision of necessary accommodations. Her commitment to inclusivity stems from her own experiences as a Deaf individual, enriching her advocacy and support efforts within the organization.

Rachel earned her Bachelor’s degree from Rochester Institute of Technology, where she honed her skills and passion for empowering the deaf and hard of hearing community. Beyond her professional pursuits, Rachel finds joy in her involvement with a book club, hitting the shops for some retail therapy, or chilling by the lake with her family – it’s just a quick walk away from home!
