I come to the Arboretum about once a week for long walks with my dog and during the summer I have done picnics when the weather is nice. It feels like a little oasis within the city and depending on where you walk provides some amazing views of Boston.

My wife and I walk in this park at least once a week. Many of the trees are like old friends. This is a walk that is completely restorative, especially during the Spring on Lilac Hill. Accessible through the Forest Hills stop on the Orange Line.

There's a great view at the top of Bussey Hill and lots of nice pathes to run/walk/ bike/skate or just hang out in the grass or at a bench.
