Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Singles/Student Congregation

I attended this congregation for 8 years when I lived in the area and it is an excellent way to meet other members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Boston area. The groups are primarily made up of students and young professionals and provide a lot of social activities and opportunities to meet people and build friendships. I was able to build a strong support network relatively quickly when I first moved here because of the congregations here.

Had a great experience with this tight knit community during my 4 years studying at BU. Sunday worship services include talks from every member of the community (as well as some from ecclesiastical leaders) and weekly activities range from formal scripture-study classes to informal gatherings around the greater Boston area. I was happy to note representation from many countries as well as a small percentage from the LGTBQIA+ community, creating a diverse group exchanging ideas and working towards progress. There were visitors every week and there are also 2 young missionaries who work with the congregation and teach the basics of the faith for those who prefer to research the faith before attending.
