I've been a patient at Davis Square Family Practice since 2008; I sought them out after reading an article in the Boston Globe magazine about Dr. Bershel's transition. At the time, I was new to the area and looking for leads for queer- and trans-friendly medical care. While not as resource-heavy or up-to-the-minute on terminology as Fenway Health, they have certainly been that. I note that, as a nonbinary person, Davis Square Family Practice has been a little less on the ball than they are about more binary trans identities - they are not always up on all the lingo, and may need to be reminded about neutral pronouns once or twice. However, they're receptive and provide quality, highly personal care. It's a small, comfy family office that sees a broad range of people in terms of age and race, as well as gender. I also note that nobody I've seen there (I have at various times seen Dr. Bershel and two nurse practitioners regularly) has ever used a lazy recommendation of "losing weight" for health problems, and they are generally extremely respectful of bodily autonomy, diverse sexual practices, different relationship styles (such as polyamory), and so on.
