Ming's is my favorite Asian market because it stocks Asian produce that is hard to find elsewhere. I've bought uncommon vegetables such as garlic scapes, Chinese chives, water spinach, watercress, bean tips, AA choy, U choy, lotus root, and murasaki sweet potato. Ming's also has a large variety of noodles of different thicknesses: soba, flat rice noodles, rice vermicelli, egg noodles, crispy noodles, etc. They also stock pantry items and cookware used in East Asian (so many different types and brands of sesame oil and soy sauce!) and Southeast Asian cuisines. The quality and cleanliness of the vegetables you can get here is better than all of the other Asian markets in Boston, second only to H-Mart. But H-Mart doesn't always stock some of the vegetables used more extensively in Southeast Asian cuisines. Thanks to Ming's, I've finally been able to make some uncommon East and Southeast Asian dishes such as lotus root pork fritters, 7-herb rice porridge, sautéed chayote and carrots, and spicy sautéed water spinach.
