It is reachable on the Green Line. It is inexpensive. It is beautiful. It is historic and helps a newcomer understand the complex racial history of Boston. It is also a serious scholarly resource.

This is a great and important Boston institution. It's also a nice way to get involved in the Black community through its events, etc.
