Tropical Foods is a Latin market, but as a Southeast Asian I've found this market useful as a reliable source of groceries I need to make dishes from back home. This is because Latin and SE Asian cuisines share a number of common ingredients. I've been able to find things like fresh turmeric, cassava, green guava, frozen cassava leaves, palm sugar, anatto seed, tamarind, coconut water, coconut milk, and passionfruit pulp. I've also had fun trying out the huge variety of drinks and many, many different seasonings and condiments.

I found this supermarket when I first arrived to the Boston area. I drove all the way from Brookline & I now drive all the way from Quincy. It is the only place I've been able to find fresh goat & lamb & all of my Haitian/Caribbean groceries!
