U.S. Settler Colonialism, White Supremacy, and the Racially Disparate Impacts of COVID-19
This essay explains how the United States needs to be viewed and understood as U.S. settler colonialism to understand the entrenched issues of systematic oppression such as racism. By touching on the Covid-19 responses impacting racial minorities as such Indigenous, Black, and Latinx peoples, this essay challenges readers to look deeply at systematic issues that emerged near the nations founding.
