When White People are Uncomfortable, Black People are Silenced
This article explains the silencing of black bodies that occurs when they speak about their experiences of systematic racism, discrimination, and marginalization nationally. This article discusses the foundational principles of the United States and that continually silenced and oppressed black bodies and other marginalized groups. Further, this article explains how uncomfortable white people when hearing the narratives of the marginalized silence or punish as a means to silence the groups that have been historically oppressed.
