Could Joe Biden be right?

President O has got juice back. He made health care big news by putting us in control of our health care (some time in the future). Still a few outstanding issues but the commentators say this is historic. A bit more history than promised? Good history?

Help me out in a discussion, this Friday from 3 -5 p.m., in the Howard Thurman Center.  During Coffee and Conversation, let’s talk about health care and figure out whether it’s such a big deal.

What did Americans get?  Have we done the right thing?  Was this just political cover from the middle class, women, and small business? Good enough?  And what’s up with all the angry folk? Why are members of Congress so thin-skinned?  (I thought democracy was a contact sport or at least about how to bring the noise.)  Shamelessness or courageousness? A new civil rights fight?
