Coffee & Conversation: Give Me Your Vote, Please?

Dear Mr. President (Obama),

I’m a little late on it, but now I’m serious about changing your world.

I want your votes – and some. I’m about to go on the road. My campaign is to ask for votes. That’s right, I’m collecting ballots – for real. I’m asking for written commitments to refrain from voting in the November elections. (It’ll take up lots of space, but I’ve cleared out my basement for a few million of the precious pieces of paper.)

That’s right. Instead of voting I want people to actually fill out a ballet and give me a commitment that they will show up in November 2012 to blank vote. I also plan to do massive voter registration to help the cause. To you, our un-submitted ballots might be one of the most valuable pieces of currency in the game. Your job – and that of other folks in your line of work – is to devalue our new currency. You game.
I know that a few folk will still pull the level in November. Can you really win an election when so few citizen participate?

I’ll see you on the campaign trail, but not on the ballot scene. With much love,

Kenny Elmore

P.S. Can’t wait to chat with Howard Schultz about bringing his alternative campaign contribution plan to the people.
Will you give me your vote? Let me know at Coffee and Conversation. Today – 3-5 p.m. in the Howard Thurman Center. I’ll bring the cookies and coffee; you bring me your ballot (or, at least your convo).
Peace.
