Celebrate a million hours of service…and add some more!
We did it! The Boston University student community has contributed over one million hours of community service to the Campaign for Boston University.
To celebrate this amazing achievement, all students are welcome for a piece of cake in the GSU Union Court at 1:30pm on Friday, April 15th. We’ll serve cake until we run out.
And we’re not done. We want to add even more hours to that total. You can do so on Saturday, as Global Days of Service culminates in its grand finale. It’s a giant day of service for BU students, staff and alumni, at locations all throughout the Boston area. Name a type of service, it seems like they have it. If you want to volunteer a little bit, they have those options. If you want to volunteer the entire day, that’s an option too. Take a look at their offerings and register today. Oh, and remember to add your hours to the million hours total afterwards!
Another reason to give back to the community? Friday, April 15th marks One Boston Day, a chance to give kindness and good to the Boston community. Even if you can’t give your time on Saturday, do something kind for a fellow student or community member on Friday. Hold a door. Tell someone hello. Buy someone their Starbucks. Pick up a piece of trash. Do something that brings good to Boston on that day, and we will all benefit!
