John Battaglino

Throughout John Battaglino’s three decades of service to Boston University, he has held positions in auxiliary services, business affairs and student affairs. In 2012, he was promoted to the position of Assistant Dean of Students and in that role, he currently serves as the Senior Advisor to the Dean while also representing the Dean of Students as liaison to the Athletic Department; advisor to members of the Student Government; and many university-wide committees. In addition, Dean Battaglino (aka Dean B) is a member of BU’s live-on staff – a cadre of caring professionals who serve the community in times of crisis, support the community in times of need, and join the community in times of celebration.

Dean B was born and raised in the Boston area. He is a double Terrier, earning both his Bachelor of Science in Management Studies and Master of Education in Policy, Planning and Administration here at Boston University. Even more, he’s the proud parent of four BU graduates – “all gainfully employed, “ as he likes to boast. He is quite visible on campus, often attending hundreds of student activities, events and games throughout the year. Dean B is always willing to help students while serving the BU community with great passion and positive energy.
