Alexander Vick awarded the Treicy Torres Prize Memorial Environmental Justice Award!

Treicy Torres was an Environmental Analysis and Policy major when she passed away in 2017 before completing her senior year. Treicy was a remarkable and inspirational woman who lived a life in service to her family, friends, and community. Treicy was dedicated to a career in community organizing and environmental justice.

This year’s Treicy Torres Memorial Environmental Justice Award winner is Alexander Vick!

Alex has dedicated himself to promoting diversity in the clean energy sector. As an intern at Browning Green Spaces, he collaborated with under-served educational institutions to establish workforce development programs in renewable energy and to foster mentorship programs for black and brown professionals. A theme that has continued in his current internship at Clean Energy Solutions where he is working to bring clean energy solutions to communities in need. After graduation he is moving to Puerto Rico to continue his work to help bring a sustainable and reliable grid to a historically marginalized community.

His efforts are truly inspiring and we are proud to present an award to this year’s winner, Alexander Henry Rodriguez Vick!
