Yvanna Serra was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. She received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Technological University of Panama, during this time she participates in research on wetland water balance and remote sensing. She joined the University of Florida in August 2022 and received a Master in Environmental Engineering Science in August 2024, her research focuses on watershed model of the region addresses impacts of agricultural and urban activities.
