PhD Student’s Summer Class Talks Poverty

Current Ph.D. student Lee Tucker is teaching a summer course called Economics of Poverty and Discrimination in the United States. An article in BU Today featured Tucker’s fascinating course on this complex topic, which includes discussions on gender, race, age, and more. Tucker is inspiring his students to bring their questions around poverty into their careers: one student hopes to utilize what he learns to help his home country of Botswana when we returns to seek a job in policy there.
