BU Econ’s Fed Challenge Team goes to DC and meets Fed Chair Powell
BU’s College Fed Challenge Team attended the Fed Challenge open house on February 9th. The Federal Reserve Bank of the United States sponsors the College Fed Challenge, which it describes as a team competition for undergraduate students. Teams analyze economic and financial conditions and formulate a monetary policy recommendation, modeling the Federal Open Market Committee. Each year, the Undergraduate Economic Associate (UEA) organizes a Fed Challenge Team and this year, four of them attended the Open House, which is an opportunity to network with competitors, judges, and Fed staff. As part of that, they met Chairman Jerome Powell, pictured here:
