Juan Ortner is a microeconomic theorist with research interests in pure and applied theory. He has done work on collusion, bargaining, and dynamic contracting. A fraction of his recent research focuses on developing statistical screens to detect non-competitive behavior in markets, and on designing mechanisms that limit the effects of collusion. He is currently a member of the editorial board at the American Economic Review.
