PhD Candidate

Shengqi Ni is a PhD candidate in Economics at Boston University. His research focuses on how patronage networks affect politicians’ career incentives and resource allocation in developing countries. He holds an MA in Economics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a BA from the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. Prior to joining BU, Shengqi worked in the Tobin Center for Economic Policy at Yale University.
