Boston University (BU) maintains extensive physical, informational, and technological resources in support of 33,000 students and 9,000 employees covering 300 academic programs on campuses in Boston and other domestic and international locations. The University’s three primary campuses (Charles River, Medical, and Fenway) composed of 17 schools and colleges, occupy 169 acres in the City of Boston and the Town of Brookline. BU properties, which include two dozen domestic and international facilities, contain more than 350 buildings with 15 million gross square feet of space that includes 834 classrooms, 1,681 laboratories, 21 libraries, and housing for over 13,000 undergraduate, graduate students, faculty, and staff. The University meets regularly to assess the risks it faces and develops mitigation strategies and response and recovery plans.
