Dr. Hua Wang honored as one of the Most Influential Asian American Pacific Islanders

Boston University’s Dr. Hua Wang (ME,SE) has been recognized as one of the Most Influential Asian American Pacific Islanders of 2023, honored by Mayor Michelle Wu.

The Divisions would like to congratulate Dr. Wang not only for his excellent work at BU, but also for his philanthropy, social service and social impact in the greater Boston area. 

Dr. Wang is an Associate Professor and Associate Division Head of the Divisions of Systems Engineering. His field of research includes the control of bifurcations, intelligent systems and control, complex networks, cooperative control, robotics, applications in biomedical, energy and aerospace systems, and nonlinear phenomena.

Dr. Wang has worked on publications such as “Fuzzy control systems design and analysis: a linear matrix inequality approach” and “Bifurcations, chaos, and crises in voltage collapse of a model power system.”

He also received his Ph.D. at the University of Maryland, and he is associated with BU’s Center for Information and Systems Engineering (CISE).

He is now being highlighted as part of a group of nearly 100 Asian American leaders in business, media, academia and more: all who play important roles in the region.
