Grades: 9th – 12th students
Tuition: $750 per student (AMEX, DISC, MC, or VISA accepted)
Registration: Limited to 20 students per session.
The FIRE Program inspires high school students to explore engineering through hands-on, experiential learning. Guided by Boston University professors and students, participants dive into a curriculum that blends theory with practice, preparing them to become the next generation of engineers and problem solvers.
Program Highlights

MechE Design process: Learn how engineers approach problem-solving by designing and building projects from the ground up.

Biomedical Engineering: Explore lab ethics and techniques like pipetting and gel preparation, with applications in disease detection and protein synthesis.

CAD and 3D Printing: Master 3D design using Onshape and bring your creations to life with advanced 3D printing tools.

Electrical and Computer Engineering: Build and program Arduino circuits, progressing from basic concepts to advanced C++ coding in the Arduino IDE.

Research Lab Tours: Visit cutting-edge labs at Boston University’s College of Engineering.

Hackathon Challenge: Apply skills across all disciplines in a collaborative project to solve real-world problems.

Expert Mentorship: Learn from Boston University faculty and PhD students about key biomedical engineering sectors and career paths.
