A Practical, Professional Degree
Customized Curriculum
The Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Biomedical Engineering is an individually designed professional master’s degree program for students who are focused on a career in the medical device and technology field. This flexible program can be completed in as little as two semesters of full-time study, but part-time options are available.
Clinical Immersion
Our students are clinical observers in a participating specialty at Boston Medical Center, where they perform 50-100 hours of observations. They then develop a medical device to solve one of the clinical challenges they identified.
Practical Skills
Students in the MEng program develop deep technical skills through advanced biomedical engineering courses and learn about product development, intellectual property and commercialization.
