New Spring 2015 Course: The Grand Tour (AH 368)
Majoring or minoring in European Studies? Interested in European art and literature? This spring, Bruce Redford, Professor of Art History and Architecture, will be teaching “The Grand Tour.” Recreating the itinerary of the quintessential trip to Italy enjoyed by the elite of enlightenment Europe, the course weaves together art history, history, and literature and analyzes the impact of the tour on art, architecture, collecting, and connoisseurship.
