Nicky Woolf is an investigative journalist whose interests lie at the intersection of politics, technology, and digital subculture. His newest podcast peeks behind the curtain to uncover an unsettling global medical mystery affecting American diplomats and spies. “The Sound” transports listeners to Havana, Cuba, in December 2016, when a U.S. official went to the embassy medical center with a debilitating illness, which would later afflict dozens of U.S. and Canadian diplomats.
