
Jie He

Jie He is a PhD candidate in Biostatistics at Boston University School of Public Health, where she serves as a Graduate Research Assistant fellow working on mobile health projects within the Framingham Heart Study. She holds a Master of Science in Biostatistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Science in Biostatistics and Computer Science from the same institution. Before beginning her doctoral studies, Jie worked as a Biostatistician at Boston Children’s Hospital for over three years, where she conducted research in hematology-oncology and cardiovascular/infectious diseases. Her professional expertise includes statistical analysis, clinical trial design, and management of surveillance data and electronic health records. She has developed mixed/hierarchical models, survival models, and machine learning methods utilizing R packages and Shiny apps. Jie is proficient in several programming languages and statistical software including R, SAS, Shell Scripting, SQL, and Python.
Research Interests: Intersection of biostatistics, neuroscience, and digital health. She focuses on developing and applying statistical and machine learning methods to analyze complex biomedical data.
