
Martine Chase
EWL 2023–2025 Mentee
Martine Chase, is a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) candidate at Boston University School of Public Health, specializing in Leadership, Management, and Policy. Since January 2021, she has worked as an Independent Public Health Consultant, supporting national strategic planning, capacity building, and quantitative research projects. Notably, she has consulted for the Caribbean Vulnerable Communities Coalition, International Treatment Preparedness Coalition, and the Ministry of Health and Wellness in Barbados. Martine has also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and interned at the Rothman Violence Prevention Research Lab at Boston University. Her previous roles include positions with the CDC, Pan American Health Organization, and International Treatment Preparedness Coalition. Martine holds an MSc in Control of Infectious Diseases from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a BSc in Biology and Microbiology from The University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus. Her expertise includes data analysis, strategic planning, and technical writing.
Research Interests: Translating data into evidence-informed, community-led programs. Specific technical areas include control of infectious diseases, gender-based violence and sexual & reproductive health.
