Executive Committee

The Executive Committee is comprised of the Officers (Chair, Vice-Chair or Past-Chair, Secretary-Treasurer) and the chairs of the standing committees. Please see the Our Members section of this website for the current Executive Committee Officers.

Nominating Committee

The Nominating Committee:

• Identifies and recruits candidates for Faculty Council Officers, voted on by the Faculty Assembly.
• Identifies and recruits candidates for the next Nominating Committee, voted on by the Faculty Assembly.
• Identifies and recruits candidates for committee chairs, voted on by the Faculty Council.

Faculty Council Standing Committees

The chairs of the standing committees are elected by the Faculty Council to serve for two years. Please see the Our Members section of this website for a list of current committee chairs.

Election to the Faculty Council as a representative or alternate is not a prerequisite for committee service, and any BU faculty member who is part of the Faculty Assembly may volunteer to serve on any of the standing committees of the Faculty Council. If you would like to serve on a committee, please email fafc@bu.edu for more information.
