Take advantage of BU’s Institutional Membership with the NCFDD

 

 

 

 

 

Dear Colleagues,

Last year, Boston University joined the National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity (NCFDD) for a pilot year. The NCFDD is a nationally-recognized, independent organization that provides online career development and mentoring resources for faculty, postdoctoral scholars, and graduate students. I write now to remind those of you who have not yet taken advantage of our institutional membership that you can still join (details below).

Our institutional membership provides access to all Boston University faculty, postdocs, and graduate students to utilize the NCFDD’s broad range of online virtual programs and resources.

To unlock your free Institutional Membership, please complete the following steps:

  1. Go to http://www.facultydiversity.org/join
  2. Choose your institution from the drop-down menu
  3. Select “Activate my Membership”
  4. Complete the registration form using your institutional email address (that e-mail address must include @bu.edu)
  5. Go to your institution email to find a confirmation/welcome email. Click “Activate Account” in the email.

During our trial year, we will monitor the extent to which this membership has been utilized. At the end of the year, we will solicit feedback about the usefulness of the NCFDD’s resources for BU faculty, graduate students, and postdocs and, through your comments, determine whether or not to continue our institutional membership.
