Sara “Suki” Tepperberg, MD, MPH
Associate Residency Director
Residency Site Director of Codman Square Health Center
Dr. Tepperberg graduated from Cornell University and received her M.D. degree from the State University of New York Health Sciences Center at Brooklyn. She completed her residency training at the Brown University Family Practice Residency Program. Dr. Tepperberg completed a fellowship in Preventive Medicine at Carney Hospital and has an MPH from the Harvard School of Public Health. Suki is board certified in both Family Medicine and General Preventive Medicine and is our Associate Residency Director. Her areas of special interest include Resident Education, Professionalism and Wellness, Health Equity and Advocacy, Community Medicine, Maternal-Child Health, and Group Medical Visits.
Pamela Adelstein, MD
Dr. Pamela Adelstein completed her undergraduate studies at Dartmouth College and medical school at the Albany Medical College in New York. She completed her family medicine residency at UMass in Worcester, at the Family Health Center, where she remained after residency as faculty and Assistant Residency Director. Since then she has worked at several community health centers, including those affiliated with the Cambridge Health Alliance and Great Brook Valley in Worcester. Currently she works at the Codman Square Health Center, where she enjoys precepting, women’s health, and integrative medicine. She completed the Acupuncture for Physician’s course at Harvard, and sees patients at a weekly acupuncture clinic at Codman. She is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and basic French. Outside of medicine Pam enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children.
Christine Farrell-Riley, MD
Dr. Christine Farrell-Riley completed her undergraduate education at Brown University. From there she went on directly to medical school at the University of Massachusetts in Worchester. After graduating from medical school she underwent training in family practice at Brown University’s program for Family Medicine in Pawtucket RI. Since that time she has worked in several community health centers. She has been at Codman Square since 2007. Dr Farrell-Riley has a special interest in Integrative Medicine and completed additional training in Integrative Nutrition in 2007. She also became certified in hypnosis through the National Guild of Hypnotists in October of 2011. In addition to her work at Codman she has a private holistic health counseling practice in Quincy, MA, where she works with clients using nutritional counseling, stress management, hypnosis, and other mind/body therapies to help her clients experience improved health and happiness
Anna Groskin, MD, MHS
Dr. Anna Groskin completed her family medicine residency at our own Boston University Family Medicine residency in 2012, and since then she has stayed on as an attending physician at Codman Square Health Center. At Codman Square, she precepts residents, serves as an advisor for first-year residents, and has a strong interest in women’s and reproductive health. She is currently participating in the Kraft Center for Community Health Practitioner Program, allowing her to lead a reproductive health project at the health center. Outside of clinic, Anna loves spending time with her wonderful husband and two gorgeous girls, cooking, biking, running and practicing yoga. Anna came to Boston from Providence, RI where she attended Brown Medical School after completing a post-bac program.
Elizabeth Maziarka, MD
Dr. Maziarka is a graduate of Rush University College of Medicine and the Family Medicine Residency Program at Providence Hospital affiliated with the University of Washington. Her continuity site experience was located at the Seattle Indian Health Board working with the Native American population. Dr. Maziarka has extensive experience as a mental health therapist. Her interests include cross-cultural medicine, and working together with patients to integrate cultural and spiritual aspects of health with the medical components. Dr. Maziarka has a strong interest in working with indigent populations. She is currently a member of the AAFP and was board certified in 1999. She has a strong interest in cultural and spiritual aspects of healing.
Erica Mintzer, MD
Erica Mintzer is a Family Physician at Codman Square Health Center, where she practices primary care and precepts residents. Her clinical interests include group medical visits, reproductive health, and care for the Hispanic community. She is currently a Kraft Practitioner in Community Health, which enables her to her to take a community-based approach to tackling obesity and associated chronic diseases in the Codman Square community. She currently practices obstetrics, including supervising residents, at Boston Medical Center. Dr. Mintzer graduated from Boston University Family Medicine Residency in 2012 and Yale School of Medicine in 2009. Her medical school thesis evaluated the health impacts of a garden-based curriculum at a charter public high school. Prior to medical school, she was a Research Analyst at Tellus Institute, an environmental research and policy firm. She graduated from Dartmouth College in 2002, where she majored in Latin American Literature. In her free time, Dr. Mintzer enjoys hiking, biking, and spending time with her husband and young son.
Salvatore J. Molica Jr., MD
Dr. Molica has spent 12 years as a family physician and medical director at the Codman Square Health Center following a year serving as a primary care physician in Haiti. After attending the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, he completed his family medicine residency at the Brown University Family Practice Residency. He then finished a Community Oriented Primary Care (COPC) Fellowship at the Carney Hospital and received his MPH from Boston University. Dr. Molica has had long-standing academic affiliations with Boston University School of Medicine through the CCHERS program and the family medicine mentorship programs. He is currently a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Massachusetts Academy of Family Physicians, and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine. Sal is board certified in Preventive Medicine and co-directs our Community Medicine curriculum.
Philip “Chip” Severin, MD
Dr. Severin is a faculty member based at Codman Square Community Health Center, where he is the Chief Medical Officer. He joined CSHC in 1995 and has been the physician leader since 2004. Prior to joining Codman, Dr. Severin practiced for two years at Serabu Hospital in Sierra Leone, where he was the Director of Public Health Services. At Codman, he has lead practice improvement initiatives, including “Reengineering the Patient Visit” and implementation of CSHC’s EMR. He received his M.D. degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine and completed his Family Medicine residency training at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he received the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Resident Teacher of the Year Award. His teaching focus for the residency has been women’s health and dermatology.
Stephen M. Tringale, MD
Dr. Tringale is a faculty member at the Codman Square Health Center. He came to Codman Square following three years with the Indian Health Service serving the Hopi and Navajo Nations at Keams Canyon, Arizona. After attending Boston University School of Medicine, he completed his family medicine residency at the Brown University Family Practice Residency Program. He is currently a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Massachusetts Academy of Family Physicians, and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine. Dr. Tringale is also the Medical Director for Performance Improvement and Research at both Codman Square and Dorchester House Health Centers and a member of the ASCCP . “American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology”.
