Greater Roslindale Medical and Dental Center
Greater Roslindale Medical and Dental Center
Greater Roslindale Medical & Dental Center (GRMDC) is a non profit community health center serving residents predominantly from Roslindale, Hyde Park, and West Roxbury, although all are welcome. The Center opened in 1975 by concerned community residents who believed there were many unmet health needs. Over the last 30 years the Center has entered into several licensing agreements, and since January 1, 1998 GRMDC has been licensed by Boston Medical Center. Many of our Family Medicine faculty are primary care providers at GRMDC: Medical Director Dr. Jennifer Lo; Dr. Aileen Richmond; Dr. Jordana Price; Dr. Ilia Coke; and Dr. Jennifer Trieu. The health center’s mission is to offer comprehensive primary health care services to area residents. The addition of several medical specialties compliment the primary care model and help make health care convenient for patients by having multiple services under one roof.
The Patient-Centered Medical Home
In 2014, GRMDC began the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) transformation process. For more information about GRMDC as a medical home, check out their brochure. The PCMH initiative is a way of delivering primary care that emphasizes the patient and expands the types of services provided using a team-based model with attention to preventive and whole-person care. Medical homes can lead to higher quality and lower costs, and can improve patients’ and providers’ experience of care.
